The hotel has long been the designer destination of choice for jet-set romantics – your only real decision is which of its two locations to bed down in. The original part of the hotel is now known as the Bill & Coo Suites and Lounge, which is within walking distance of Mykonos Old Town and 150m from the nearest beach. This is the place for elegant poolside lounging, sunset mojitos and midnight seduction.
The adults-only Coast Suites, on the other hand, hug the beach at Agios Ioannis, 3.5km from the Old Town. In these villas (3 in total), you’ll have direct access to the sun-kissed sand and service to straight to your lounger. And oh yes, diptyque amenities it is!
Bill & Coo Hotel Mykonos is set on slope giving guests a stunning view of the island’s rocky landscape and the sea. In addition, you will be treated to the most beautiful sunsets free of charge. The beach of Megali Ammos is right in front of the hotel.
Located just on the outskirts of the Mykonos Town – the island’s main hub for nightlife, shopping and sightseeing – the hotel is within a short drive or 20-minute walk to sights such as the Mykonos Windmills and Little Venice one mile away.
From here, the most famous beach clubs are easily reachable, however, a rental car (or taxi) is a must.
Luxurious simplicity sets the mood here where pool, lounge and restaurant spaces are centred around a stunning view of the Aegean Sea. The natural stones are used throughout the hotel which gives a very nice contrast to the white tones.
Designed by several high-end architects, the hotel has a smooth look that marries layers of whitewashed walls, a neutral colour palette and multi-faceted room ceilings with timber trellises.
Modern handmade chestnut furniture completes the look together with high-end Kettal outdoor furniture for a very comfortable day at the pool.
Bill & Coo has 50 suites and villas in total. We stayed in the one-bedroom suite with infinity pool and we really didn’t want to leave. Once you entered your own garden, you immediately see that enormous private pool with more than comfortable thick daybeds, all while your mouth is wide open. There is a very spacious lounge area with views who will never get bored. The suite itself offers lots of space and a magnificent open-space though private bathroom.
Special attention to details excels the high-end level of this hotel. When entering the room, there is a bottle of Taittinger Brut Réserve champagne waiting for you. Finished? You can continue with the mini-bar which is not a common mini-bar at all. Classic cocktails like Negroni, Old Fashioned, and The Manhattan are already mixed and can be served straight away.
But if you ask me, the biggest and most surprising in-room amenity was the Bill & Coo straw hat to wear during your stay, and even better, you’re allowed to take home as a souvenir.
There’s a large waterfront pool at both properties. At the Suites and Lounge, a classy combination of glass and wood-panel flooring surrounds the infinity pool, where you can unwind on banquettes or sun loungers and admire the view (and your fellow guests).
At night, this area turns into the place to be with soft couches and ‘star-lights’ coming out of the pool.
Down at the Coast Suites, the pool fringes the the beach and has a sun terrace with large cabanas.
What’s better than having your favourite brand of cosmetics used in the spa of your hotel? The renowned Valmont Spa offers a range of facials, massages and body treatments, including a Greek massage based on ancient techniques with eucalyptus oil.
Personally I immersed in the ‘Vitality of Glaciers’ facial treatment (collagen mask treatment) which is a biological lift and deep hydration face and decollate treatment based on Swiss tradition in Cellular Rejuvenation. I left totally zen and reborn thanks to Zervas Leonidas.
