The 9 hottest new restaurants in Dubai
Every month, an array of new restaurants arrive for Dubai diners to feast their eyes – and appetites – on. We’ve collected the scoop on where to eat and drink this season.
Think Mykonos meets La Croisette: sun-drenched luxury with a cosmopolitan twist.
There are few places in the world where sea, style, and savoir-vivre blend as seamlessly as in Cannes. Yet since the summer of 2024, a new name has redefined Riviera beach luxury: Nammos Cannes.
The iconic Greek beach club (famous from Mykonos to Dubai) made its French debut at the far end of La Croisette, within the exclusive Palm Beach Private Members Club complex in summer 2024.
From the moment you arrive, the setting exudes understated sophistication. Creamy tones, turquoise accents, and breezy turquoise & white parasols set the mood, a refined balance between Greek island spirit and Côte d’Azur glamour. The view stretches endlessly across the Bay of Cannes, towards the Îles de Lérins, where the legendary La Guérite restaurant sits in the distance.
My day at Nammos began as it should on the Riviera: unhurried and sun-soaked. A perfectly frothed cappuccino and a chilled bottle of water were waiting at my sun bed, a simple but thoughtful touch that instantly set the tone.
Not long after settling in, we were surprised with two signature mocktails, both so beautifully presented they could have graced the pages of a glossy magazine. Alongside a fresh fruit platter served on crisp white napkins with polished silver cutlery. It’s these subtle details that make Nammos feel more like a private retreat than a public beach club.
As the morning unfolded, the DJ began to spin an effortlessly cool daytime set. Think laid-back house with a Riviera twist. My Shazam worked overtime, capturing track after track; I still listen to that playlist today, instantly transported back to that very moment beneath the Cannes sun.
By the afternoon, the mood had shifted just slightly, golden light, soft chatter, and glasses of rosé catching the glow of the late-summer sun.
The crowd? A cosmopolitan mix, Parisian regulars, well-traveled Mykonos devotees, and international guests who know exactly where to be. The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, where elegance feels natural and never forced.
Unlike most beach clubs on La Croisette, where sun beds line up close together, this stretch feels spacious and serene. The sand with seaweed may not be the most manicured in Cannes, but the panoramic sea view makes it one of the most enchanting spots in town, open, airy, and free from the usual city bustle.
We settled onto a sunlit terrace with tables hewn from rustic wooden trunks, each one unique, the grain and texture of the wood speaking of organic luxury. Overhead, turquoise-and-white striped parasols cast playful shadows, giving the terrace that signature Riviera look, chic yet relaxed, elegant in its simplicity.
While the terrace invites alfresco charm, stepping inside the restaurant is equally worthwhile (especially for dinner), but also for lunch if you want a taste of the interior design’s full effect. The décor leans toward a Mediterranean modern style, with abundant natural light, clean lines, whitewashed walls, touches of pale stone and light wood, and pops of rich color in upholstery and decorative details, a graceful nod to Mykonos aesthetics adapted to the Riviera. It’s airy and bright, yet warm and textured.
Our lunch was shared, a parade of signature dishes that embodied the Nammos gastronomic philosophy. We began with a crisp Greek salad, vibrant with heirloom tomatoes, kalamata olives, herbs, and a drizzle of olive oil; then came burrata, impossibly creamy, and fried zucchini, lightly breaded, golden, and tender inside.
Next arrived not one but two generous platters of pasta: one tossed in a rich tomato sauce that smelled of basil and sun-ripened fruit, the other a hearty pasta ragu, slow-cooked meat bathing in layers of flavour, served tableside. Alongside, a beautiful cut of beef, perfectly seared, kissed with extra-virgin olive oil and sprinkled with coarse sea salt, so that each bite was juicy and luminous.
To finish, dessert was nothing short of divine: a wonderfully smooth cheesecake, a molten lava cake (yes, the haute couture of chocolate indulgence), and the all-time classic Nammos chocolate mousse, layers of white, milk and dark chocolate weaving together in silky richness.
What makes Nammos Cannes truly special is its location. Set at the very tip of La Croisette, next to the newly revived Palm Beach Private Members Club, it’s surrounded by some of the city’s most exclusive venues, including Zuma Cannes, the Riviera outpost of the world-famous Japanese restaurant.
This area has quickly become a new luxury hub, away from the main boulevard’s bustle. Around Palm Beach, you’ll also find elegant boutique stores such as LOEWE, Pucci, and Loro Piana, perfect for a pre-lunch stroll or an après-beach shopping detour.
The Nammos name carries weight in the world of luxury travel. What started as a chic beach restaurant on Psarou Beach, Mykonos, evolved into a global lifestyle brand with locations in Dubai, Limassol, Courchevel, and now Cannes.
Its DNA remains unmistakable: Mediterranean elegance, Greek warmth, and jet-set sophistication — a combination that feels right at home on the French Riviera.
Is it worth it? In a word: yes.
Nammos Cannes is not just another beach club, it’s a statement of style, an ode to Riviera living with a Greek soul.
It may not be the cheapest, but in Cannes, luxury isn’t measured in euros, it’s about the art of joie de vivre, and few places master it as effortlessly as Nammos.
