Elephants have walked the meandering paths by the camp for hundreds of years. Perhaps moved by this, the lodge has been built with a commitment to “treading lightly on the earth”. No trees were felled in its construction; instead, the cottages were built in a natural clearing. Their roofs are thatched, but that is where the resemblance to a usual cottage ends
